After a week of decline, our efforts to save her only mildly effective, Kaya departs this plane Friday, May 8th, near midnight under a full moon, beneath the maple tree Alan planted, amongst the boulders and azaleas, on the hill the animals loved to bask. She said goodbye in her own way, two short excited barks, this bark being the kind usually heard before walks or when greeting someone coming to let her out of the gate. She could not have died in a more peaceful way, in a more appropriate place or moment.

Roam In Peace: Kaya Wolfenstein 1994 - 2009
I saw her death in a dream. I opened the garage door (the garage being her den) and whistled for her, 'Come on, Girl!' She walked out of the dark but turned and went the opposite way of the opened door. I saw her through a window walking along the sidewalk toward her bed in the backyard. I saw her spasm and collapse. I awoke abruptly knowing she would soon be gone.

Such a sweet, beautiful girl...
I miss her so much! Also, not having a dog around feels so unnatural. Ya know?
I think I would get pretty lonesome or maybe even depressed without my dogs. They always give me a good reason to come home & they are always happy to see me, whether I have been gone for 5 minutes or 5 days :)
BTW, I know you guys aren't too much into mutts, but my neighbors have some adorable little girls available.
They need good homes :)
Puppy love...
If it were up to me alone, I'd have already rescued some lovable mutts. 'You Know Who' is so damn particular. Growing up, I always had mixes and I didn't discriminate. I'll mention it anyway. I bet they are cute. What do you think they are mixes of?
Hahaha, these babies are Hounds and I forget the specifics, but a small terrier. I imagine they will shed less than the normal dog and they will probably only get to be about 30 pounds, at best. Maybe 20.
I love my mutts...and mutts are rumored to have excellent dispositions. Hey, I'll try to take a pic w/ my cell tonite & shoot it your way.
hahaha, sometimes in life it is best to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission.
Teasing....kinda.
My kinda advice..ain't it the truth!
